
Everett Wins First-Half Title and Beats Boise 5-1

The Boise Hawks (20-17) fell to the Everett AquaSox (20-17) by a final score of 5-1 on Sunday evening. The AquaSox take home the North Division First-Half title with the win.
The AquaSox got on the board first in the 2nd inning when Ryne Ogren doubled, Josh Stowers singled to rightfield and quickly Everett led 1-0. Boise got a run in the home-half of the inning when Cole Anderson doubled to start the inning off. Cade Harris bunted for a hit, and with runners on the corners, Willie MacIver brought in Anderson on a sacrifice fly to tie the game at one.
Everett scored again in the 3rd inning in similar fashion. It was Ryan Ramiz at 2nd base after he bunted for a hit to move Ogren over, Stowers doubled to make the score 2-1 Everett.
The AquaSox got another run in the 5th when Ramiz doubled and Ogren singled him home to make it 3-1 Everett. Everett would not stop there. In the 7th inning Charlie McConnell grounded out and scored Ryan Garcia from 3rd base making the score 4-1. Connor Hoover moved up to 2nd base and on a wild pitch he scored all the way from 2nd to give Everett a 5-1 lead.
The Hawks could not get the bats going despite knocking seven hits for the game. Javier Medina is the losing pitcher while Noah Zavolas is the winner. The Hawks go to 20-17 while Everett will also go to 20-17
