Everett Hawks To Do Live Web Casting For All Away Games
April 28, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Everett Hawks News Release
So you can't make the road trip to Tri-Cities? Not a problem. The Everett Hawks will be web casting all away football games. The Hawks announced that they will be huddling up with The Production Foundry to web cast all remaining Hawks road games to "broadband subscribers." Broadcasts can be seen at www.everetthawks.com. A link from the front page of the website will direct viewers to the broadcast for a fee of $10 per game.
Web casting began two weeks ago when the Hawks traveled on the road to play the Lincoln Capitols, as a way for fans to keep in touch. With players coming to Everett from all over the country, web casting makes it possible for friends, fans, and families to watch the games and experience the competition and excitement together.
Web casting allows you to use the internet to broadcast live audio and video transmissions, much like watching traditional television. You can watch games by using any computer. The Hawks are one of only a few teams in the NIFL to provide this service to its fans. Although, it's in the future plans of the NIFL to web cast all of its games league-wide, the Everett Hawks want to set the precedence of being the leader of this exciting new feature.
