HEAD COACHES:
Anthony Wells
Coach Wells joins the Everett hawks via the N.I.F.L. Cincinnati Marshals. His head coaching expertise with the Marshals was added to individualize the Hawks coaching staff. After working with the defense in his first week with the Hawks, Wells was named the new head coach.
Coach Wells, nickname "t-wells," began his football career at Rochester High School in Pennsylvania where he also competed in track and basketball.
After High School, Well's attended Kent State University where he received a degree in communications. His football career continued at Kent State under the direction of Glenn Mason who helped him to receive a 1st team all-conference honorable mention and later to become an All-American.
Wells is an eight year veteran of the Arena Football League where he had stints with the Florida Bobcats, Miami Hooters, and the Cleveland Thunderbolts. He played from 1991 to 1999 as a 6'2, 220 pound, wide receiver / defensive back.
His coaching career immediately preceded his playing career and includes AF2 offensive coordinator positions with the Wilkes-Barre Pioneers (13-3), the Charleston Swamp-foxes (9-7), and the Pensacola Barracuda's. Wells continued his success upon receiving the head coaching job with the Cincinnati Marshals. Wells took over at mid-season and lead the mediocre Marshals at 4-4, into the Atlantic division champ game, ending the season at 10-6.
Coach Wells resides in Miami Florida and enjoys listening to Outcast and playing cards.
Richard Davis, Stockton Lightning
Richard Davis was named the first head coach in Stockton Lightning history on November 11, 2005. Davis, who holds a career 41-23 record and is the fifth winningest coach in af2 history, carries five years of coaching experience in the af2 ranks, most recently serving the Albany Conquest for the 2005 season.
In total, Davis brings 11 years of coaching experience at the professional and collegiate levels. After his collegiate career at Cisco Junior College and NAIA Rocky Mountain College (Mont.), his offensive expertise helped guide the NFL Europe's London Monarchs to a World Cup title in 1991. He then served as an offensive coordinator at Langston University (Okla.) (NAIA) in 1992 and as a quarterback coach at University of Connecticut (NCAA) in 1994. Davis branched his on-field experience into the front office ranks in 1995-96, serving the CFL's San Antonio Texas as the team's Vice President of Operations.
LAST SERIES MEETING: Everett, 41-40
SERIES NOTABLES:

THIS WEEK'S QUOTES:
"Stockton has improved dramatically in the area of offense. Our key to this game is to put pressure on the quarterback and create turnovers..
MILESTONES:
FORWARD MOTION:
Our match-up with the Coyotes always proves to be interesting. In our last loss we had opportunities to pull the game out but had mental lapses that were costly. The Coyotes are a well disciplined defensive unit.
PLAYERS/MATCHUPS TO WATCH:
Aubrey Dorisme from the Lightning is No. 10 in the league in sacks; the 5th year veteran Ufuoma Pela's responsibility will be to protect Beschorner and Baker from this pass rush.
The Hawks special teams unit will be challenged with the coverage of George Williams of the Lightning. George is currently No. 1 in the league in kick return average.
