
Everett Crushes Hawks 7-1

Portland Winterhawks News Release
The Everett Silvertips got goals from seven different goal scorers, three on the power play, and they defeat the Portland Winter Hawks by a score of 7-1 in front of 4,609 at the Comcast Arena in Everett.
Kellan Tochkin had three assists and Shane Harper had one goal and two assists to lead Everett on the night. Chris de la Lande, Tyler Maxwell, Drew McDermott, Kyle Beach, Markus McCrea and Jordan Mistelbacher also scored for Everett.
Portland's lone goal came from Luke Walker, assisted by Radim Valchar and Travis Ehrhardt, in the opening minute of the third period.
Kurtis Mucha started in net for Portland, stopping 19 of 24 shots in 34 minutes, before being relieved by Keith Hamilton who handled 13 of 15 during his game action. Kent Simpson stopped 31 of 32 shots for Everett as the Silvertips outshot Portland 39-32 in the game.
On special teams, Everett went a perfect 3 for 3 on the power play while Portland went 0 for 5.
Next up, the Hawks and Silvertips do battle again at the Comcast Arena at 7:35 on Friday evening.
