GAME NOTES: The Everblades will begin the South Division Finals vs. the Texas Wildcatters on Tuesday night at Germain Arena. The Everblades finished the regular season with an overall record of 3-7-0 vs. Texas and were 2-3-0 at home vs. the Wildcatters.

Friday & Saturday, April 27 & 28 at Texas Wildcatters 8:30 p.m. (Fri.) & 8:00 p.m. (Sat.)

GAME NOTES: The Everblades travel to Beaumont, TX for games 3 & 4 of the best-of-seven series. The Everblades finished the regular season with a 1-4-0 record at Texas.

Tuesday, April 17 at Charlotte Checkers 4-0 W

The Everblades wrapped up their best-of-five South Division Semi-Final series against Charlotte with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday at Charlotte Bobcats Arena. Goaltender Craig Kowalski stopped all 32 shots he faced to earn his first professional playoff shutout. The Everblades got goals from Jon Lehun, Derek Damon, Dustin Johner and Chris Dyment, as Florida polished off the Checkers 3-games-to-0. Florida special teams: PP: 0-for-5, PK: 8-for-8.

Series at a Glance: This is the first time the Everblades and Wildcatters have met in the post-season. The Everblades advanced to the South Division Finals by sweeping the Charlotte Checkers 3-games-to-0 in the division semi-final. Texas advanced to the South Division Finals by knocking off the Gwinnett Gladiators 3-games-1 in the division semi-final.

Florida's Playoff History: A look at how the Everblades have done in the post season: 2006: Advanced to division finals before falling to Gwinnett; 2005: American Conference Champions, advancing to Kelly Cup Finals before falling to Trenton; 2004: Eastern Conference Champions, advancing to Kelly Cup Finals before falling to Idaho; 2003: Eliminated in South East Division Wild Card by Greenville; 2002: Advanced to second round before falling to Greenville; 2001: Eliminated in first round quarter-final series by Pee Dee; 2000: Eliminated in first round quarter-final series by Augusta; 1999: Advanced to second round semi-final series before falling to Mississippi.

Texas' Playoff History: This is the first trip to the Kelly Cup Playoffs for the Texas Wildcatters in their three seasons in Beaumont. However prior to that the organization made three trips to the post-season as the Huntington Blizzard: 2000: Eliminated in Conference Quarterfinals by Hampton Roads; 1998: Eliminated in Division Quarterfinals by Roanoke; 1995: Eliminated in first round by Dayton.

Playoff Fast Facts: This is the ninth consecutive trip by the Everblades to the Kelly Cup Playoffs...their current streak of nine now ranks as the longest among current ECHL teams...South Carolina held the previous high-water mark having qualified for the first 13 years of their existence until being kept out this season...the streak of nine straight for the 'Blades is tied for 5th longest in ECHL history behind South Carolina (13), Dayton (11), Hampton Roads (11), Roanoke (11) and Louisiana (9)...the Everblades are 38-31 all-time in their playoff history...the Everblades have twice advanced to the Kelly Cup Finals, falling 4-games-to-1 to Idaho in the 2004 championship series, and falling 4-games-to-2 to Trenton in the 2005 championship series...the 2006-07 division title by the Everblades is the second division championship the Everblades have captured in their history, having also won their division in 1999-00 when they won the Brabham Cup as the league's top regular season team... the Everblades are 11-7 all-time in game 1 of playoff series', hold a 10-6 all-time record in game 2, are 10-6 all-time in game 3, and are 5-6 all-time in game 4, and are 2-5 all-time in the fifth game.
