Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades equipment manager John "Big" Jennings has been named one of two recipients of the 2004-05 ECHL Equipment Manager of the Year, the league announced today. Along with Jennings, Russ Holden of the Reading Royals earned this year's honor as well.
In 2004-05 Jennings completed his fifth season as the Everblades head equipment manager. Prior to joining the Everblades organization, the Braceridge, Ontario native had spent six seasons in the ECHL with the Louisiana IceGators. Jennings began his career in professional hockey with the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League for four years.
"This is an award that John greatly deserves." Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush said. "The work and dedication he has put forth each year is tremendous. In a job that often goes unnoticed by the pubic, John has been as much a part of this team's success as anyone."
Jennings and Holdren are the third and fourth recipients of the award since it was first introduced by the league following the 2002-03 season.
