Florida Everblades News Release

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush, along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Chris Lee to a contract for the 2005-06 season. Lee becomes the third player signed by the Everblades this off-season.

During his rookie season last year with the Everblades, the 24-year-old skated in 68 regular season games scoring 27 points (5g, 22a) and adding 11 points (2g, 9a) in 15 playoff games during the Everblades run to the Kelly Cup Finals. Lee, who along with guarding the blue line for the Everblades spent a number of games on a forward line, earned 11 of his 27 points while the Everblades had the man-advantage.

"Chris was probably one of, if not the most versatile player we had last year," said Fleming. "No matter what we asked of him he did, and did it well. The improvements we saw from him during the course of last season were one of the main reasons why we felt so strongly about bringing him back for this season."

The MacTier, Ontario native joined the Everblades, and the professional ranks, after a four-year stint at the collegiate level with State University of New York at Potsdam. In his four seasons with Potsdam, Lee tallied 115 points (41g, 74a) in 110 games.
