Wheeling, W. VA.-The Everblades began their seven game road trip with a one-night stop in Wheeling. The 'Blades dominated the first period out shooting the Nailers 9-5 and scoring two unanswered goals to lead Wheeling 2-0. The second stanza saw the Everblades lead increase to 3-0 after Jordan Morrison scored his third goal of the season in front of his former team. Both teams exchanged goals in the third, but the Everblades prevailed 4-1.

The first stanza was characterized by a show of strength from the visitingFlorida Everblades.The Bladesopened scoring atWesBanco Arenawith an even-strength tally courtesy of Ross Carlson at 9:09; the goal was assisted by Jacob Micflikier andHarrison Reed. Then with less than a minute left on the penalty kill Ryan Lang scored a short-handed goal with assists from Steve McJannet and Phil Paquet, to put the Blades up 2-0 and close out the period.

Jordan Morrison scored the lone goal of the second at 7:59 to putFloridaup 3-0. Morrison, who played for Wheeling last year scored his third goal of the season with assists from Jacob Micflikier and Brad Zanon.

Wheeling spent the beginning of the third in the sin bin with penalties from Cliff Loya and Andrew Lord. Harrison Reed seized the opportunity and with help from Jacob Micflikier and Elgin Reid, scored on the power play at 5:14. Then at 9:16 Wheeling got on the board with a five on three power-play goal scored by Thomas Beauregard with assists from Andrew Lord and Aaron Clarke. The remainder of the period remained scoreless and the Everblades improved to 9-7-2.
