
Estrada Named to IL All-Star Team

RICHMOND, VA--The Richmond Braves today announced catcher Johnny Estrada has been named to the International League's post-season all-star team as selected by the league's managers, coaches, media, and club representatives.
Estrada, 27, is hitting .327-9-65 in 105 games with Richmond. The Hayward, Calif. native currently ranks second in the International League in average, fourth in on-base percentage (.389), and fifth in slugging percentage (.486). Named to the International League's post-season all-star team in 2002 while with Scranton/Wilkes- Barre, Estrada is the R-Braves' lone representative on the 2003 all-star team.
Columbus' Fernando Seguignol has been named the International League's Most Valuable Player, while Pawtucket's Bronson Arroyo has earned Most Valuable Pitcher honors. Also winning individual awards are Charlotte's Aaron Miles for Rookie-of-the-Year and Pawtucket's Buddy Bailey for Manager-of-the-Year.
