
Esks Sign 2010 Draft Selection

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos have signed non-import defensive back Corbin Sharun to a three-year contract with an option for a fourth year, the club announced today.
Sharun was drafted in the sixth round (43rd overall) in the 2010 CFL Canadian Draft which took place last Sunday. The Edmonton native spent 2009 with the Edmonton Wildcats of the Canadian Junior Football League and ended the season a CJFL All-Canadian. He accumulated with 25 defensive tackles, five interceptions for 129 yards and a touchdown and one fumble recovery on the season. Corbin previously played quarterback at St. Francis Xavier University (2006-2007).
"I am extremely happy to be here," says Sharun. "I grew up watching the Eskimos and have always wanted to play for the Green and Gold. This is a dream come true."
