
Esks deepen secondary

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos announced the signing of veteran defensive backs Keyuo (pronounced kee-you) Craver and Tay Cody today.
Craver was drafted in the 4th round (125th overall) by the New Orleans Saints in 2002. He played in 12 games for the Saints over two years recording 22 tackles. Of note, Craver's selection by the Saints was acquired from Miami as part of 2002 trade of running back Ricky Williams to the Dolphins.
Cody was drafted in the third round (67th overall) in the 2001 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers. He played in 19 games over three seasons in San Diego ('01-'03) recording 63 tackles and 2 interceptions. While in San Diego, he was a teammate of current Eskimo defensive back Davis Sanchez. He was released by the Chargers in September 2003.
