Eskimos update

Edmonton Elks News Release

Sportsnet Junior Reporter for the Day: Former Eskimo Jed Roberts filled the shoes of a Sportsnet reporter today. His day as a reporter included holding the microphone in the scrums. Roberts even managed to ask Jason Tucker the question that has been on everyone's mind: "Who do you think would win in a fight; Batman or Superman?"

Batman vs. Superman: In response to Jed Roberts' question, Tucker and Peterson got into a heated argument. Peterson thinks Superman would win the fight, while Tucker is determined Batman would come out on top. "Batman probably has kryptonite in his utility belt."

"Green and Go": The Eskimos, City of Edmonton and Molson have teamed up to provide a free service for Eskimo fans. A press conference was held today during practice to announce the pilot project. "Green and Go" allows Eskimo ticket holders to ride the LRT, Park n'Ride and regular transit for free two hours before, during and two hours after any home game.

Quotable:

Star WR Jason Tucker joined the ranks at training camp today. Tucker, who has not participated in a practice since June 1st due to injury, is happy to be back, "It's always good to get practicing and get a feel-good rhythm with the quarterbacks, get your timing in and then it's like second nature once you get in the game." Competition has been tense at camp over the past 16 days, but Jason is not going to let it get in the way of his performance. "I can't control what they do, I can only control what I do, so I just got to go out there and do what I do and let everything else take care of itself."
