Toronto - The Toronto Argonauts have launched a redesigned and interactive new website at argonauts.ca. Based on fan input, the website is a community for Double Blue supporters, taking them behind the scenes like never before. Designed by MRX, the Argos site has an innovative look and loads of new features.
New to argonauts.ca is the team's own Argos TV. This video component will feature game highlights, pre-game video coverage, media conferences, player vignettes and much more. Argos TV will also provide fans with the chance to send in their own videos and post them on argonauts.ca for others to view.
With the launch of the new site, player bios have been improved with plenty of action shots. Each player bio will feature up-to-date stat charts where fans can view both the player's career and game-by-game stats. In addition, all of the team stats will be updated after every game.
A convenient way for fans to obtain tickets to the Argos games is the Direct Online Ticket purchase feature. Fans can secure their season, single game, and three-game pack tickets from the comfort of their own living rooms. This feature links directly to Ticketmaster's online order form and makes it quick and easy for anyone to get their hands on Argos tickets.
As the home opener approaches, an interactive depth chart will be available where fans can go online before the game and view the player position chart. Each player will be displayed in a drop down menu so fans can see which players will be lining up where before the ball is snapped.
There will also be new Argos Cheerleaders videos and photo galleries where fans can scroll through pictures and clips of the 2008 squad. Furthermore, fans of the Double Blue will be able to show their true colors by setting their desktop with a list of new Argonauts wallpapers. Coming soon, the site will feature regular updates to "Inside the Locker Room" player blogs that allow fans to get the inside scoop on their favourite players.
In the Fan Zone, Generation A kids will find plenty to do as they learn more about football and fun things for youth to do at every Argos game.
