Edmonton Elks News Release
The Edmonton Eskimos have signed veteran defensive back Lenny Walls, the club announced today.
Walls (6-4, 197 lbs), who played in five games for the Eskimos last season, was released by the club on May 27/11.
Eskimo General Manager Eric Tillman says " Lenny has agreed to a restructured contract and we're very pleased to have him back. Due to his injury, last year was a very frustrating season for Lenny. He's in terrific shape now and highly motivated to get back on the field and help us achieve the level of success our fans expect ".
The Boston College product played several seasons in the NFL before signing as a free agent with Calgary in 2008. He was traded to Winnipeg in 2009 and signed as a free agent with Edmonton in 2010.
