(Edmonton) The defending Grey Cup champion Edmonton Eskimos today announced they have signed defensive back Jason Nugent. The Eskimos drafted Nugent in the second round (17th overall) in the 2006 CFL Canadian College Draft on April 20. The Ontario native played four years at Rutgers, switching from running back to defensive back after his freshman year. He finished his college career with 86 defensive tackles and one interception.
