Edmonton Elks News Release
(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos introduced to fans last week the Eskimo Game Day Gift and Concessions Card. The pre-loaded card, sold at dominations of $10.00, $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00, will be available for purchase on June 13th for the pre-season game against Calgary.
The gift and concessions card can be used for merchandise and concession items at Commonwealth during Eskimo games. The card can also be used in the Eskimo Team Store for team merchandise only. Fans can purchase the gift and concession card at the Eskimo Team Store or at the information booths at Commonwealth during game days.
"We are quite excited about the Eskimo Game Day Gift and Concession Card," says Eskimo President and CEO Rick LeLacheur. "It is a part of our goal to make the concession and merchandise areas faster and more appealing to our fans."
As part of the Eskimo's goal to make the overall game day experience better, new till systems that allow credit card purchases at the concession stands have been put into place. Fans will now be able to purchase all concession items with cash, credit card or the gift and concessions card. Finding an ATM machine will be easier as a total of 22 stations have been put into place around the stadium including two mobile trailers outside the gates. The ATM's have been upgraded to ensure faster transaction times making the wait to withdraw cash considerably shorter.
The Jackie Parker Room and the East Side Sports Bar are both becoming private clubs for the 2010 season and will no longer be open to the public. Fans, however, are able to access new concession items beginning on June 13th. Popcorn shrimp and Fish n' Chips will be offered in the West and East concession areas; Beef on a Bun and a new and improved hamburger will be offered at all outside concession stands; and even the condiments have gotten better as Dijon mustard and chipotle sauce have been added to all condiment stations.
The Guest Assist Program will be available to all fans beginning on June 13th. The fan-friendly program will enable fans to request assistance for any stadium issues by simply texting the word "Eskimos" to 78247. Customer service representatives will be sent to the desired location to assist with any important matters. This allows fans anonymity when voicing their concerns and prevents possible escalations of situations. The Fan Hotline (780-477-3665) will also still be in effect as well.
The East side 25 year Season Seat Holder recognition plaque has been relocated to the East Concession Area. Fans can find the monument just inside the pod door adjacent to Gate 9. The West side recognition plaque can still be found outside the Jackie Parker Room. The Eskimos would also like to remind fans that the Green and Go Program is back for the third consecutive season. Fans can ride any Edmonton Public Transit System for free with their game tickets two hours prior to kickoff and two hours after the final whistle.
