LAST GAME

Erie was served their second consecutive loss on Saturday night despite jumping to an early lead in Akron, falling 8-5 to the RubberDucks. Riley Greene and Ryan Kreidler used some pop to get the night started in the first inning. Greene fired a rocket over the right field wall to lead off the game, and Kreidler went back-to-back in the frame with his own home run to center field. Mark Leiter Jr. couldn't hold the lead, however. After tossing two perfect innings to start, the right-hander got tagged for two different three-run innings. Erie made a late push to rally, eventually getting within one run, but Max Green allowed another pair of runs in the seventh inning to put the game out of reach. Erie pitching allowed 12 hits in the game, the most they've surrendered in three weeks.
