ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap their current seven-game losing skid as they begin a six game road trip at Prince George's Stadium against the Bowie Basox (Baltimore Orioles). The 'Wolves losing skid is the team's longest of the season and currently the longest losing skid in the Eastern League. Erie's longest losing streak in 2007 was four games which was done on two different occasions...The SeaWolves will meet the Baysox in seven of their next 10 games. Erie holds a 5-2 advantage in the season series and are 4-0 at Prince George's Stadium following a sweep to open the 2008 season. The last time the 'Wolves and Baysox met in Bowie, the two clubs played three extra innings games...Leftie Danny Christensen takes the mound for the 'Wolves, making his seventh start of the season. Christensen took a loss in his last outing against Trenton and is winless on the season. In a rain-shortened game, Christensen tossed 5.2 innings, allowing six runs, five earned, on nine hits with three walks and a pair of strikeouts. He is 0-1 against the Baysox this season...RHP David Hernandez takes the mound for the Baysox. Hernandez is making his third start against the 'Wolves and took a pair of no-decisions in his first two outings. In his most recent outing against New Britain, Hernandez went five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits with three walks and six strikeouts. It will be his eighth start of the season and only his third at Prince George's Stadium where he 1-0 in two starts.
