Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their opening week road trip as they begin a three-game series against the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) at NYSEG Stadium. The 'Wolves picked up their first win on Saturday as they clobbered the Altoona Curve 12-1...The Mets are coming off of a three-game home series against Akron where they dropped two of three games...Erie will send veteran left-hander Ramon Garcia to the mound making his first start of the season. Tonight, lefty Ramon Garcia makes his 2012 debut. Garcia was the ultimate utility pitcher in 2011 as he split time between Erie and Toledo and was used as a starter and reliever at both levels. Garcia has spent time in an Erie uniforms in each of the last three seasons...Righty Greg Peavey takes the mound for the Mets making his Double-A debut. Peavey was the Mets sixth rounder of the 2010 draft out of Oregon State. He spent time in 2011 with both Low-A Savannah and High-A St. Lucie. With St. Lucie he posted a 5-4 record and 3.97 ERA...Following Saturday's game, RHP Rob Waite was transferred from Erie to Triple-A Toledo. RHP Zach Samuels has been added to the Erie roster from Lakeland. Samuels made seven relief appearances with Erie in 2011...The SeaWolves will open their 2012 home schedule on Thursday against Bowie (Baltimore Orioles)...
- Binghamton won the 2011 season series over Erie 11-9. The SeaWolves and Mets meet 14 times in 2012.- The SeaWolves are 1-2 on the road.- The SeaWolves roster features 18 players who have spent time at the Double-A level or higher. - The entire SeaWolves coaching staff returns in 2012. Chris Cron enters his second season in the Tigers organization. Ray Burris returns in his fifth season as the pitching coach and Jerry Martin returns for his second season after a lengthy period in the Phillies system. 2011 EL Trainer of the Year Chris McDonald returns for his seventh season. - The SeaWolves had a winning road record in 2011 going 38-33. - Niuman Romero is the only SeaWolf to collect hits in all three games. - The 'Wolves were 4-6 in 10 games at NYSEG Stadium in 2011.
