----- Today, the SeaWolves look to avoid a series sweep as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the final game of a three-game series at People's Natural Gas Field. The SeaWolves offensive attack has fallen silent over the first two games of the series, collecting just five runs over the first two games. Erie also looks to avoid their longest losing streak since the club dropped five straight April 15-19. A win will also prevent the 'Wolves from dropping below .500 for the first time May 11...The SeaWolves send lefty Ramon Garcia to the mound. It will be his sixth appearance and fifth start with Erie. Today marks his first appearance against the Curve. Garcia has won back-to-back games, both over Akron. In Garcia's last start on May 14, he tossed a season-high eight innings, allowing three runs on four hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Erie won the game over Akron 6-3...Righty Tim Alderson takes the mound for the Curve making his 10th appearance and second start. Alderson's first start came in his last outing at Bowie on May 15. In the game, he allowed three runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in five innings. Alderson has appeared twice against the SeaWolves in relief and has one save. In five innings against the 'Wolves, Alderson has tossed five scoreless innings, allowing four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts. The SeaWolves return home on Monday to begin their longest homestand of the season (eight games) with four against Reading and four against Akron

He is tied for second in the league with 13 doubles. - Erie pitchers have walked 176 hitters, the most in the EL. The 'Wolves have also given up 40 home runs which is the second-most allowed in the league. - The SeaWolves lead the league with 189 runs scored. - Erie is 11th in the league with a 4.55 team ERA. Altoona is tied for eighth with a 3.96 team ERA. - Erie is tied for fifth in the league with a .260 team batting average. Altoona ranks 10th with a .246 team average. - Niuman Romero is tied for second in the league with 50 hits. Romero is also the toughest hitter to strike out in the league, striking out just one every 12.57 plate appearances.

----- The SeaWolves will host the SeaWolves Bowling Bash at Greengarden Lanes on Thursday, June 21. The bowling fundraiser will take place from 6 pm - 8:30 pm with proceeds benefiting United Way of Erie County. - The event will feature SeaWolves players, one at each bowling lane, interacting with event guests, signing autographs, and posing for pictures. The event will also include door prizes and a memorabilia silent auction. - Each participant will receive up to three games of bowling, shoe rental, a raffle ticket, and pizza, for a registration fee of $25.
