
Energy's Othyus Jeffers Named to NBA D-League All-Defensive First Team

NEW YORK, April 16, 2011 - Iowa Energy guard Othyus Jeffers, who ended the season with the Washington Wizards, has been named to the NBA Development League's All-Defensive First Team, as voted on by the NBA D-League's 16 head coaches.
Jeffers joins Dakota Wizards center Chris Johnson, Texas Legends center Sean Williams, Tulsa 66ers forward Larry Owens, who also ended the season with Washington, Utah Flash forward Tony Gaffney and guard Orien Greene, who earned a GATORADE Call-Up to the New Jersey Nets this season, on the NBA D-League All-Defensive First Team.
The All-Defensive Second Team features Idaho Stampede guard Cedric Jackson, Maine Red Claws guard Mario West, who ended the season with the New Jersey Nets, Erie BayHawks forward Ivan Johnson, Utah forward Ronald Dupree and Austin Toros center Marcus Cousin, who is currently on the Houston Rockets' roster, on assignment to Rio Grande Valley.
The Energy host Tulsa in Game 2 of the NBA D-League semifinals Monday night in Des Moines at 7pm. A win would send the Energy to the D-League Finals for the 1st time in the franchises four year history. Tickets are available at
