Energy Giving Away Championship Ring

DES MOINES, IA, July 7, 2011 - The Iowa Energy have announced they will give away an authentic 2011 NBA D-League Championship Ring to a fan via an online contest.

The ring, which will be identical to the ones received by the players, will go to a randomly selected entrant on the Energy's website. Entries will be taken through the end of July.

"The championship was not only a victory for the franchise, but also for our fans in Central Iowa," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris. "We wanted to create a unique way where we could include the fans in the entire process, and giving away a ring will be a fun way to do just that."

A winner will be randomly selected from all entrants in early August. The winner's ring will feature his/her name on the ring along with the description "Fan" where the player's number would normally appear.
