
Elmira Trade Brings Campanale to Wranglers

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that the team has acquired defenseman Matt Campanale in a trade with the Elmira Jackals in exchange for defenseman Cameron Cooper and left wing Matt Carter.
Campanale ("Cam-pa-nell-ee"), 24, comes to Las Vegas after a goal and five assists in 37 games with the Jackals this season. The 5-foot-11, 201-pound blueliner tallied seven goals and 16 assists in the ECHL in 2011-12, playing eight games with the Bakersfield Condors and 58 games with Elmira. Originally from Chester Springs, Pa., Campanale brings six games of American Hockey League experience and one appearance with the NHL's New York Islanders to the Wranglers after four years (2007-11) at the University of New Hampshire. In 106 games with the Wildcats, Campanale posted three goals and 21 assists while playing two years (2007-09) alongside current Wranglers defenseman Jamie Fritsch.
The Wranglers host alt-country legend Todd Snider in a post-game concert after the team's game against the Alaska Aces on Friday, Feb. 1, at 7:05 p.m., and continue a long weekend of promotions with "Heroes Night" on Saturday, Feb. 2, and "Over 18 Night," featuring the world's first topless pro hockey team, on Monday, Feb. 4, at 9:05 p.m.
Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers.
