If you think four meetings with the Stamps is a lot, the pair squared off six times annually in the regular season from 1949-1953.

The second week of the season provides another chance for Edmonton to snap their recent and unusual skid against the Riders, as the Elks have dropped five straight to Saskatchewan. It marks the first time since 1970 that Edmonton enters a season with an active losing streak of at least five games against the Riders, who earned narrow victories over the Double E back-to-back weeks in 2021.

Time to put away the Bomber brooms. Edmonton has been swept by Winnipeg in back-to-back seasons, marking the first time in the pair's history - dating back to 1949 - that the Bombers have swept the Double E consecutive seasons. The last time Edmonton went undefeated against Winnipeg in two or more consecutive seasons was 2013-15 when the Green and Gold went 6-0 against the Bombers over three seasons.
