Elizabethton River Riders News Release
The Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department, the Elizabethton Twins and the volunteers from the Douglas Community are teaming up to put on a Party in the Park for the youth of our community. This event will take place on August 18, from 11:00AM to 2:30PM at Douglas Park located directly behind the Elizabethton City School Central Office at 804 Watauga Ave.
Events include a visit by Elizabethton Twins team players, inflatables, a dunking booth tank, homerun derby, face painting, free throw contests and lunch. Visitors will also receive free tickets to Saturday night's Elizabethton Twins vs. Kingsport Mets game at Joe O'Brien Field.
"We are very excited about this event Saturday," said Mike Mains, Parks and Recreation Director. "It just gives us another chance to get team members of the Elizabethton Twins out in the community and it also gives our Parks and Recreation Department the opportunity to create a fun day in one of our many parks."
For more information about the Party in the Park call the Elizabethton Parks and Recreation Department at 423-547-6441.
