
Eight Drillers named All-Stars

Tulsa Drillers News Release
A total of eight Tulsa Drillers were named to the Texas League All-Star Teams that were announced today. The group of Drillers players will play for the North Division squad against a team from the South Division in the 2006 Texas League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 20 at Little Rock's Ray Winder Field.
The Drillers players named All-Stars include first baseman Joe Koshansky, shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, outfielder Jordan Czarniecki and catcher Chris Iannetta. Koshansky, Tulowitzki and Czarniecki were named as starters for the game, while Iannetta will serve as a backup catcher.
The four Tulsa pitchers that made the team include Ubaldo Jimenez, Juan Morillo, Manuel Corpas and Josh Newman.
The All-Star squads were determined by voting from Texas League managers and media members.
Tulsa's eight selections were the second most of any team in the league. Corpus Christi had nine players named to the South Division team.
