Eight Calgary Hitmen Set to Leave for NHL Training Camps

Calgary, AB - Calgary Hitmen General Manager Kelly Kisio announced today eight Hitmen will head to NHL Training Camps this week.

Of the eight players, five are drafted (Kris Foucault, Brandon Kozun, Ian Schultz and Michael Stone). Martin Jones is a free agent signing of the LA Kings while two Hitmen have received free agent tryouts (Rigby Burgart, Ryan Kerr).

The above list of players does not include Bostjan Golicic, Tomas Karpov, Alex Plante, Paul Postma and Brett Sonne who are all eligible to return to the Hitmen this season as overagers, but are not expected back after signing pro contracts.

The Hitmen will open their five game pre-season schedule tomorrow night at home against the Red Deer Rebels. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at Centennial Arenas. Tickets are only available for purchase at the door starting at 5:30 p.m.
