June 10, 2006 - Northern League (NL)
Edmonton Capitals News Release

Tonight is Ladies Night at Telus Field which means free admission for all of your better halves. So come down to the beautiful river valley and enjoy a night of professional baseball under clearing skies. After a tough Friday night against our fellow flatlanders, the ‘Cats will be looking for some revenge, hopefully with a win. To that end, Edmonton will send undefeated Brett Lawson (3-0) to the hill against the Northern League's ERA leader, Josh Beshears (3-0).

There will also be a matinee 1:35 game on Sunday, which is Four Seasons Furnace Cleaning and Services Baseball Card Giveaway Day. Fans will receive a strip of 4 baseball cards featuring the hometown Cracker-Cats. The game will be a battle of left-handers, with Brad Bissell (2-2) taking the hill for Edmonton against David Glick (0-1).

Following that game, Edmonton returns to the road for seven games. The first three will be against provincial rival Calgary (9-11), after which they will move on for a four-game set with the division leading Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks (15-6).

The Cracker-Cats will then return home for 6 games in seven nights, 6/19 - 6/25 with the Schaumberg Flyers and Calgary Vipers.
