Edmonton Aviators Women VS. Arizona Heatwave Commonwealth Stadium, Edmonton, AB May 30, 2004, 2 pm (MST)

Edmonton, May 28, 2004 - The Edmonton Aviators Women play their fourth game of the season, and first home game, on May 30 at 2 pm (MST) against the Arizona Heatwave at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Arizona Heatwave have played two home games and no road games (as of Thursday, May 27) so far this season. They have one win, one loss, and no draws with two goals for and two goals against.

In 2003, the Heatwave finished the season with 18 points from 12 games played. They scored 21 goals while surrendering 24.

Only four players on the 2004 Heatwave roster were on the team in 2003 - Julie Williford, Jennifer Klein, Pamela Bedzrah, and Sierra Christiano.

Forward Alison Heydorn leads the team with one goal and one assist this season. Forward Sierra Christiano also has one goal.

Edmonton, May 28, 2004 - The Edmonton Aviators Men (0-2-1) play their fifth game of the season, and first ever home game, on May 30 at 4:30pm (MST) against the Minnesota Thunder.

The Minnesota Thunder finished the 2003 regular season tied for third place overall (17-2-9) in the A-League (tied with Seattle Sounders) with 53 points from 28 games played.

With last year's leading scorer Johnny Torres gone, the Minnesota Thunder will look to Marshall Morehead to lead the offensive charge. Morehead finished tied for 14th in A-League regular season scoring in 2003 with 21 points in 26 games. Morehead has one goal in six games this season.

Johnny Menyongar has also proven himself an offensive threat early this season with three goals and one assist in six games for the Minnesota Thunder.

Minding the net for the Minnesota Thunder this season is Joe Warren who finished ninth in A-League goals against in 2003 with 25 goals against in 25 games. So far this season, Warren has given up just two goals in six games played including 5 shutouts.
