
Edmonton Aviators Take Another Point On The Road

Edmonton, May 28, 2004- The Edmonton Aviators managed a single point on the road as the Aviators and Calgary Mustangs played to a 1-1 tie.
The Aviators opened the scoring with a goal from Freddy Akok in the 38th minute.
"The team worked very hard. Unfortunately, we gave up a late goal in the last few seconds of the game", said Ross Ongaro- Head Coach for the Edmonton Aviators Soccer Club. "Obviously, we are a little disappointed with the result. We deserved the win but know that we will need to continue to work hard to improve", said Ongaro.
The Calgary goal was scored by Sergei Kolomiets-Raad in the 91st minute.
The Aviators Men will play their home opener May 30th at Commonwealth Stadium in a double-header with the Aviators Women. Game time for the double header is 2:00 pm (MST).
