Edmonton, July 16, 2004 â The Edmonton Aviators Men (2W-6D-7L) play their sixteenth game of the season on July 17th (6:30pm MST) against the Milwaukee Wave United (6W-2D-7L) at Uihlein Park in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee finished the 2003 regular season in first place in the Central Division with 54 points from 28 games played (18 wins, 10, losses, zero draws). They were also by far the highest scoring team in the A-League, scoring 61 goals in the regular season. The next best team, Rochester, scored 55. Milwaukee was in the middle of the pack in the A-League defensively, surrendering 32 goals.
This year, the Wave United's offense hasn't been as prolific as it was last year. With just 17 goals in their first 14 games the Wave United sit in fifth place in the Western Conference, five points ahead of Edmonton.
Johnny Torres has been Milwaukee's offensive star this season scoring six goals and three assists for 15 points in 14 games.
Gregory Howes has scored four goals and three assists in his 14 games played.
The Edmonton Aviators Men have played 9 road games and 6 home games so far this season. On the road, the team has 1 win, 4 ties, and 4 losses. At home the team has 1 win, 2 ties, and 3 losses.

This is the first meeting between the teams this year. They were scheduled to play in Milwaukee on May 14 but were rained out. The game has been rescheduled for August 19th. The teams will also clash in Edmonton on July 22nd (7pm MST) and August 15th (6pm MST).
