- Wheeling's Clark Donatelli is 57-49-21 as the club's head coach.
- Jackals have advanced to Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of their six seasons in the ECHL.
- Nailers have finished over .500 for five consecutive seasons.
Greenville Road Warriors at Gwinnett Gladiators 7:05 p.m. ET
- Greenville head coach Dean Stork is 123-75-18 in three seasons with the club.
- Gwinnett has captured South Division title in each of the last two seasons.
- Road Warriors have advanced to the Kelly Cup Playoffs in each of the last three seasons.
- Gladiators are opening the season at home for the first time since 2009.
Orlando Solar Bears at Florida Everblades 7:30 p.m. ET
- Mathew Sisca led Orlando last season with 48 points (15g-33a).

- Vince Williams makes his debut as Solar Bears' head coach after two seasons with Trenton.

Idaho Steelheads at Utah Grizzlies 7:05 p.m. MT
- Idaho's Tyler Gron had 32 points (21g-11a) in 34 games with the club last season.
- Utah's Tim Branham makes his head coaching debut after serving as assistant coach with Reading since 2009.
- Steelheads are 57-22-13 all-time against Utah.
- Grizzlies are opening the season against Idaho for the third consecutive season.
Colorado Eagles at Bakersfield Condors 7 p.m. PT
- Colorado's Adam Brown was third among rookie goaltenders in 2012-13 with 22 wins.
- Bakersfield head coach Troy Mann was head coach of Columbia from 2006-08.
- Eagles are 13-5-0 all-time against Bakersfield.
- Condors are opening the season at home for the first time since 2010.
San Francisco Bulls at Alaska Aces 7:15 p.m. AKT
- San Francisco's Dean Ouellet was tied for third among rookies in 2012-13 with 52 points (24g-28a).
- Alaska's Mark Guggenberger was third in the league in 2012-13 with a 2.23 goals-against average.
- Bulls open the season on an eight-game road trip.
- Aces have won Brabham Cup as ECHL regular-season champions in three consecutive seasons.
