ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced that Norfolk's Samuel Noreau has been suspended for five games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #633, Norfolk at Adirondack, on Feb. 6.
Noreau was assessed a match penalty for boarding under Rule #41.4 at 12:28 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.
Noreau will miss Norfolk's games vs. Reading (Feb. 12), at Greenville (Feb. 13) and vs. Florida (Feb. 17, Feb. 19 and Feb. 20).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
