ECHL Announces Fine, Suspension

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Tuesday announced that Stockton's Garet Hunt has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #699, Alaska at Stockton, on March 29.

Hunt was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for cross-checking under Rule #59.5 at 2:56 of the first period. He is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Hunt will miss Stockton's games at Ontario (April 4) and at Bakersfield (April 7).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
