Reno Silver Sox News Release
After a three run third inning, the Reno Silver Sox cruised to an easy victory Thursday beating the Orange County Flyers by a score of 11-6 at Goodwin Field.
In the first inning, RF Juan Senreiso knocked in LF Ryan Kowalski for the first of three times in the game. Kowalski went 4-5 with four runs scored. Senreiso went 3-4 with three runs batted in.
In the third inning, Reno rallied and scored six times off of Flyer starter Mike Woolrey, who only lasted three innings.
Reno starter Nick Moran pitched six innings, allowing five runs on 12 hits on the way to his fourth victory of the season.
Shawn Balteff pitched two innings of shutout relief and Eric Thomas pitched the ninth.
The finale of this brief two game series will be Friday night at 7 PM. Pregame coverage begins at 6:45 on ESPN Radio 630.
The Sox return home Saturday to face Chico. The first 500 fans in the game will receive a pack of Silver Sox baseball cards.
