SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes will face Chicago Fire on Saturday, May 27 at Toyota Park in a rematch of Tuesday's U.S. Open Cup qualifier at Buck Shaw Stadium. The match will kickoff at 5:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on CSNBA (television), KDOW 1220 (English radio) and KZSF 1370 (Spanish radio).
The Earthquakes jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead against the Fire on Tuesday with a trip to the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 on the line, but Chicago battled back to tie the game in regulation. After a pair of scoreless extra time periods, the Fire wound up advancing in a penalty-kick shootout, 5-4.
