SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes and goalkeeper Jon Busch donated $8,100 to the Navy SEAL Foundation this week as part of the 12-year MLS veteran's Saves for SEALs program. Busch donated $50 for each save he made during the regular season and MLS Cup Playoffs to the Navy SEAL Foundation and received a matching donation from the Earthquakes Community Fund.

Busch made 77 saves during the regular season and four during San Jose's two Western Conference Semifinal games. In his third year with the Earthquakes, Busch has been a consistent supporter of the U.S. Armed Forces and the Navy SEAL Foundation. He visited a Naval Operations Support Center in San Jose to meet and greet servicemen and give away tickets to the club's June 30, 2012 game against the LA Galaxy at Stanford Stadium for Military Appreciation Night. Busch also auctioned autographed game-worn goalkeeper gloves with a Special Operations patch sewn on and cleats with "9-11-01" and "Never Forget" imprinted on the shoes to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation in 2011.
