
Earthquakes Defender Nick Garcia to Appear at Walter L. Bachrodt Elementary School

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes defender Nick Garcia will appear at Walter L. Bachrodt Elementary School on Wednesday, March 18 as part of the Amway Kicks for Kids Program. Garcia will speak to a school assembly about the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle at 1:30 p.m. PT in the theater. As part of the program, he will also give out 150 tickets for the Earthquakes upcoming home match on March 21 and 150 Amway-branded Earthquakes jersey shirts.
The Amway Kicks for Kids program was created to allow underprivileged children the opportunity to experience a professional soccer match in person. Through the program, the Earthquakes and Amway will donate over 2,000 tickets in 2009 to children throughout the Bay Area.
