San Jose Earthquakes News Release

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose Earthquakes defender Harold Cummings underwent a successful surgery to repair a high-ankle sprain and fractured fibula on Thursday morning. The leg injury was sustained in an accident at home and will likely keep the Panamanian defender out of action for 4-6 months.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Richard Gayle and Dr. Nicholas Todd at Sutter Health in Mountain View.

Cummings, 25, signed with the Earthquakes on Jan. 7, 2017. He has 50 career appearances for the Panama National team. The Panama City native has yet to feature in a match this season due to offseason sports hernia surgery.
