Seattle Sounders FC News Release

Following a 1-1 friendly draw against Liga MX side Necaxa last Saturday, Sounders FC returns to MLS action Friday evening in a nationally-televised fixture against expansion side Atlanta United FC (7:00 p.m. PT / FS1, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Friday's match is being televised to a national audience on FS1, with John Strong and Alexi Lalas on the call and Katie Witham providing commentary from the sidelines.

KIRO Radio 97.3 FM is airing the match live, with Matt Johnson, Kasey Keller and Steve Zakuani on the call, as well as Jason Rantz, Wade Webber and Pete Fewing providing halftime and post-match coverage. Fans in Western Washington can tune in to El Rey 1360 AM for a Spanish radio broadcast, featuring "Zuper" Mario Rodriguez and Felipe Maqueda.

Atlanta is one of two expansion teams to join MLS this season - along with Minnesota United FC - and is off to a hot start, winning twice in its first three matches and leading the Eastern Conference with 11 goals scored. However, MLS' leading goal-scorer Josef Martinez is out 4-6 weeks with a left quad injury, Atlanta announced on Tuesday. Sounders FC is 3-1-2 all-time in its first meeting against expansion sides.
