
Early runs haunt Cutters

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters gave up four first inning runs in a 6-4 loss to the Tri-City Valley Cats. Billy Harris (1-1) took the loss after surrendering five runs on four hits over three innings. Chris Rhoads pitched five innings of relief for the Crosscutters and allowed one run. The Cutters posted one run in the second, two in the sixth, and one in the ninth, but couldn't complete the comeback. Williamsport stranded 12 men on base in the contest, and left the bases loaded in the eighth inning. Derrick Mitchell hit two doubles and drove in a run, while Adam Sorgi went two for two with two walks and a run scored. Dominic Brown and D'Arby Myers brought home the other two Crosscutter runs. The Cutters are now tied for second in the Pinckney Division with state College. Williamsport will host Tri-City Monday evening at 7:05 p.m.
