MIDLAND, TEXAS (June 15, 2015) - Frisco's early lead disappeared in the bottom of the first inning when Chad Pinder cleared the bases with a three-run double to help the Midland RockHounds win, 5-2, against the RoughRiders on Monday at Security Bank Ballpark. Frank Lopez lost for the first time since joining the Riders in late May as the RockHounds' four-run frame was too much for Frisco to overcome.

Pat Cantwell extended his hitting to streak to seven games with a one out triple in the first off Tim Atherton. He scored on an RBI ground out from Williams to put the Riders ahead, but the lead was brief.

Lopez (2-1) walked leadoff hitter Chad Oberacker to begin the bottom of the first and two batters later he scored on Josh Whitaker's 14th double. Tied at one, the Rockhounds (31-32) plated three runs on one swing when Pinder smacked his 10th double of the season.

Preston Beck led off the fifth inning with a single and advanced to second on an error by right fielder Matt Olsen. Following a strikeout and ground out, Williams planted a triple to center and cut the deficit in half, 4-2. Williams extended his hitting streak to five games and collected both RBIs, giving him 28 for the year.

But once again, the RockHounds (31-32) responded with a run of their own. Oberacker doubled, advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt, and scored on a base hit from Whitaker. Oberacker has scored six runs in the last two games. Atherton (3-3) worked six strong innings of two-run ball, giving up five hits and two walks.

Ryan Doolittle worked two scoreless innings before Ryan Dull worked around a leadoff double to earn his fifth save.

The will try to split the four-game set on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. LHP Andrew Faulkner (5-3) will vie for his fourth consecutive win against RHP Jake Sanchez (4-5). The RoughRiders return to the Metroplex on Sunday, June 21 to begin a four-game home stand against the Midland RockHounds. To celebrate Father's Day, the first 1,500 men (age 18 and older) to enter the gates at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Sunday will receive a free RoughRiders BBQ jersey apron and a spectacular fireworks show will follow the game.
