Central Islip, N.Y. - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 5-2 on Sunday night in the finale of a three-game series at Bethpage Ballpark.

The Revolution took a 3-0 lead in the first inning against Ducks starter Bobby Blevins on a two-run home run to left field by Jared Mitchell and a solo homer to right off the bat of Kevin Rivers. Michael Burgess extended the advantage to four in the second with an opposite-field solo homer to left.

It stayed that way until the seventh when Tyler Colvin closed the gap to 4-1 with a sacrifice fly to center off Revolution starter Frank Gailey. However, York got the run back in the seventh when Travis Witherspoon scored on a double play ball.
