Stockton, CA. - An error in the first opened the door wide open for the Stockton Ports who defeated the Modesto Nuts 9-1 on Wednesday night at Banner Island Ballpark.

Alex Balog (L, 1-1) retired the first two hitters quickly in the first to begin his start for the Nuts (24-42). James Harris began the rally with a single up the middle with two outs.
