Just 1:11 into the third period, on an Eagles power play, forward Kyle Kraemer gave Colorado the 3-1lead with a backhanded shot off of a pass from fellow forward Kevin Ulanski. Almost six minutes later, Idaho forward Tommy Grant netted the Steelheads second goal of the night with a shot from behind the end line that was redirected in front, closing the scoring gap, 3-2.
