
Road Warriors Score Twice in Final Minutes to Beat Florida 5-4

Greenville, SC: Andrew Rowe scored two goals to help Greenville edge past the Florida Everblades 5-4 in regulation on Thursday night.
The first period started with Florida taking an early lead just 25 seconds in when Evan Bloodoff scored a one-timer past Jason Missiaen. It was his 21st goal of the year with Stefan Della Rovere collecting the assist. The Road Warriors responded one minute later, when Sean Berkstresser posted a rebound shot past Mac Carruth to tie the game. It was Berkstresser's eighth goal of the season with Bretton Cameron and Andrew Himelson tallying the assists. At 8:56, the Road Warriors took a 2-1 lead when Andrew Rowe directed a shot from Andrew Yogan into the net for his 23rd goal of the season. Josh Nicholls earned the secondary assist and increased his point streak to eleven games, the longest point streak of the year for a Greenville player.
During the second period, the Road Warriors outshot the Everblades 11-8. The Greenville kept their 2-1 lead until late in the period when Andrew Rowe scored his second goal of the game with 1:54 left in the period. Rowe faked a pass across the slot and scored his 24th goal of the year. The period ended with the Road Warriors up 3-1.
The third period began with Kyle Bonis scoring a power play goal 2:27 into the period. It was his 22nd of the year assisted by A.J. Jenks and Cameron Burt. The Road Warriors lead was cut to 3-2. Phillip-Michael Devos tied the game at three scoring through a scrum in front of Missiaen. It was his 10th goal of the season with Matthew Pistilli collecting the assist. Florida took a 4-3 lead with 4:35 left after Brandon MacLean scored off a pass from Bonis, making it his 18th goal of the year. Josh Nicholls tied the game with 2:16 for his 15th goal of the year off a pass from Brad Cole. One minute later, Mike Marcou jammed in a rebound off a shot from Emerson Clark to give the Road Warriors a 5-4 lead and score his eighth goal of the season. Missiaen held off all Florida chances during the final minute and the Road Warriors defeated the Everblades 5-4.
