
Eagles Sign Former 2nd Round Draft Pick to Try-out Agreement

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced Thursday that they have reached an agreement with Trevor Cann for the Eagles 2013 training camp. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound goaltender was selected in the 2nd round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche and was taken with the 49th overall pick in the draft.
The Oakville, Ontario native has played in 45 AHL contests with the Lake Erie Monsters. Prior to beginning his professional career, Cann played five seasons at the major-junior level with the Peterborough Petes and the London Knights. During his time with the Petes, Cann captured an OHL Championship in 2006 and appeared in the CHL Top Prospects game in 2007. He also served as Canada's starting goaltender at the 2007 IIHF Under-18 World Championship.
The Eagles open training camp on Friday, October 4th with a 10 a.m. practice at the NoCo Ice Center in Windsor. Training camp practices will be open to both the public and the media, unless otherwise noted.
