Eagles, QMJHL Announce 2020-21 QMJHL Schedule

SYDNEY - Today the QMJHL and Cape Breton Eagles have announced the schedule for the 2020-21 QMJHL regular season.
As part of the QMJHL's Covid-19 Return To Play protocol, the regular season will be 60 games, entirely against divisional opponents from the league's three groups of six teams. The Eagles will play each of their five Maritime Division rivals 12 times- six at home, six away.
Cape Breton will open the season with a home and home series against the Halifax Mooseheads on October 2nd in Sydney and October 3rd in Halifax. The QMJHL regular season will conclude on Saturday, April 3rd, when the Eagles host the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. The regular season will be followed by the playoffs, using a format that will be determined at some point during the regular season.
The Eagles will play a total of 11 home games on Friday, eight on Saturday, six on Sunday, and five on Wednesday. All Wednesday & Friday home games will have a 7 PM start time, while all Sunday home games will start at 3 PM. Saturday home games will have a 7 PM start time with the exception of March 20th vs Charlottetown (3 PM) and April 3rd vs. Acadie-Bathurst (3 PM).
In total the Eagles will have eight back to back home sets against divisional foes. Bathurst will play two consecutive games at Centre 200 on three occasions, Charlottetown will do so twice and Halifax, Moncton, and Saint John will do so once.
