Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, CO - The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League have sold out the Budweiser Events Center every game of their exciting three-year history, and the team appears to have all systems go on a potential sellout of the upcoming 2006-07 campaign. Season tickets are capped at 4,400 and the Eagles have renewed 96 percent of the season-ticket holders up for renewal this summer.
This was the biggest off-season in terms of renewals for the Eagles in which a majority of their season ticket base was up for renewal after three seasons. The team renewed 96 percent of those patrons up for renewal, more impressively, 62 percent of those renewals are for the next three seasons. Due to the response from the fans of Northern Colorado, the Eagles have the potential of selling out the Budweiser Events Center for three more years continuing their "AA" record of 109 consecutive sellouts including the playoffs.
"This shows the great support the Eagles receive from the community of Northern Colorado," said Eagles Director of Ticketing Chris Augusto. "It shows the Eagles are here to stay, rather than be short term novelty for the fans of Northern Colorado."
The Eagles will have approximately 200 patrons on their season ticket wait list going into the 2006-07 season. The team will begin placing people from the wait list into open seats in the near future; however this list contributes to a misconception that all Eagles games are sold out and tickets are not available. There are approximately 1000 tickets available for groups, pre-sale and walk-ups for every game.
"I think people assume we're already sold out, however for most games, you can purchase tickets up to the day of the game," said Augusto.
The back-to-back Governors' Cup Champion Eagles will play their exhibition season on Friday, October 13th and Saturday, October 14th at the Budweiser Events Center against the expansion Arizona Sundogs. Both games will begin at 7:05 pm MT. Tickets for this game start at $10 and will be available in late September. The entire 2006-07 CHL schedule will be released in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to the Eagles website for on sale dates.
Colorado has been the winningest team in the Central Hockey League over the past three seasons compiling a 130-40-18 record, and has set the "AA" record for consecutive sellouts at 94 regular season games and counting. Single-game tickets will be available in late September; the Eagles are currently taking group ticket orders. All games will be broadcast on 107.9 The Bear, the new home for the Colorado Eagles.
