Colorado Eagles News Release
WINDSOR, CO. - The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that they have reached a multi-year agreement with iHeartMedia, which will continue to make 92.9 The Bear the radio home of the Colorado Eagles. The upcoming 2018-19 campaign will mark the 13th consecutive season that the iHeartMedia station will serve as the radio home of the Eagles. 92.9 The Bear is Northern Colorado's home for Classic Rock with a signal that stretches throughout Eagles Country, from Southern Wyoming to Denver, Colo. - and can also be heard online via the iHeartRadio app.
"We are very excited to continue our outstanding partnership with the premier radio outlet in Northern Colorado in iHeartMedia and 92.9 The Bear," said Eagles president Chris Stewart. "The Bear has served as our radio home for well over a decade and we can't wait to bring the excitement of Eagles hockey in the AHL onto their airwaves this season."
Kevin McGlue will be returning for his 10th season as play-by-play broadcaster. Eagles goaltending coach Ryan Bach will also be back for his 10th season as color analyst during home broadcasts. In addition, former Eagle Les Borsheim returns for his sixth season as a full-time color commentator during home games.
"92.9 The Bear is proud to be the official radio partner of The Colorado Eagles, and we're overjoyed to continue this partnership for the next five years," said 92.9 The Bear Program Director Nate Wilde. "Northern Coloradoans have always welcomed The Bear into their homes with open arms, so it's fitting that our brand be aligned with such a staple to the area as The Colorado Eagles."
